What do babies, boats and hearts have in common?

All three of those things are exciting to me. Who doesn’t love the smell of little ones, the meditative lapping of water alongside a boat and love for another?
February’s Practices of Grace bring together these 3 ideas.
Hearts
We have a lot of noise, messages, and words spoken in a day. It can be difficult to pay attention to what is important. It’s also challenging to hear the “Still Small Voice”. God wants you and me to be in a relationship with him, to know we are loved and to follow his heart. Devotional reading exists to further our companionship with God, it really slows us down to be with the person of Scripture. Find out more by clicking here
Babies
When we live in a culture of multi-tasking with numerous demands screaming at us, attentiveness is fleeting. Children teach us about giving our full attention to things. My granddaughter, Frankie can observe an object in her hand for minutes. She tastes it, moves it from one pudgy hand to another, drops it and searches for it quickly. She is 100% focusing on what is in her hand.
Maybe we can capture that childlike focus in our adult lives. In order to do this, we need to be intentional. Find out how to be intentional in a doable and simple manner.

When was the last time you felt fully rested? When you did that one thing that gives rest to your soul, body, and mind? Like hanging out and listening to the little waves lap at the side of your boat, peaceful and quiet?
Rest is a revitalizing and restorative practice. How do you find rest for your soul? Click here to find out the #1 unfamiliar reason to rest and how to get some.
I’m hoping you’ve given at least one of these practices ago this past month. If not, pick one to focus on and March into Spring with new intention to make time with God.
